Property Market Update – March 2021

The spring selling season is blooming with activity.  Many sales are going to closing dates due to interest from multiple buyers which is having a positive effect on prices and resulting in some properties going under offer in a matter of days. 

Indeed, on the 23rd March, Rightmove recorded the highest daily number of sales agreed in the past ten years.

Record buyer demand is creating a seller’s market and we are seeing an uplift in new listings.  The promise of better weather and an easing of restrictions is encouraging sellers to make the most of the spring selling season and get their property on the market whilst buyer activity is strong.

We launched 30 new properties to the sales market – more than any other agent covering the Perthshire area (Source: Rightmove):

  • We sold 27 properties across the Perthshire area in locations such as Perth itself, Bridge of Earn, Pitcairngreen, Glencarse, Auchterarder, Abernethey, Blairgowrie, Luncarty and Stanley.
  • The total value of property sales was £5,873,101 
  • 90% of sales properties sold for full asking price or above
  • We negotiated an additional £193,457 for our clients (an average of £7,165 per property)
  • Listed 13 properties for rent
  • Agreed 15 tenancies
  • Helped 3 new landlords get their properties to the rental market
