Application process

If you wish to apply for a property you have viewed, please complete and return to us the following application form along with the following supporting documents:

1. Photo Identification (e.g. Copy of Passport, drivers licence, etc)

2. Proof of current address (e.g. utility bill, bank/credit card statements)

3. Proof of income (3 months bank statements & 3 months pay slips)

4. Two written references. If you are currently employed, one of these must be from your employer. If you are currently renting a property, one of these must be from your landlord. If you are not currently employed/renting accommodation, a written reference must be supplied by two professional, independent individuals (e.g. solicitor)

What happens next?

We will then review all applications and references and get in touch with you to advise whether you have been successful.

If you have been successful, you will be required to pay a deposit (usually one month’s rent) in order to secure the property which we will protect with Safe Deposits Scotland (one of the government-approved agencies). We will then agree a move-in date when we will meet you at the property to go over all of the legal documentation and settle you into the property. Your rent will be due on the first day of every calendar month in advance. If your move-in date falls on another date within the month, the pro rata amount for a partial month’s rent will be due prior to your move-in date. Around six weeks after your move-in date, you will receive a settling-in visit to see how you are getting on in your new home and whether you have any maintenance issues you need resolving. Thereafter you will receive an inspection visit every six months (or more frequently if required).
