Here at PPP, it’s not just the local property market that we are enthusiastic about, it’s everything about the Perthshire area.

Potential buyers or tenants want to know all about the area they are moving to, and this local knowledge extends beyond property values and rental prices. Because our team is local to the area and have lived in a number of towns and villages across Perthshire, we can talk enthusiastically about various points of interest – such as local attractions, travel links, shops, recommend restaurants, dog-walking routes and offer advice on school catchment for various areas.

Sales Negotiator, Laura Green: “Every area has its own benefits and features that will attract a range of people who are looking to buy or rent. We have to make sure that we not only mention this in any marketing materials or online, but that we can actively demonstrate our local knowledge on the phone to interested parties and in person during viewings.”

One of our Lettings Negotiators, Ashleigh McIntosh, gave a recent example of how this local knowledge was put to good use.

Ashleigh commented: “I recently carried out some viewings at a property just off the Glasgow Road in Perth and one of the couples had a little boy. My own son goes to nursery within the area and I was able to happily recommend it to them for their own son which really helped them make a decision.”

Director, Alan Keddie: “We recently had an elderly couple from Aberdeen who were looking to buy in the Craigie area of Perth. Although they didn’t drive they wanted to keep active and enjoyed playing tennis. Because we have sold a number of properties in Craigie, and because Gary has lived in that area for a number of years, we were able to advise which streets were located close to a local bus route for when they did want to get around the city, let them know about the Darnhall Tennis Club, the West End Bowling Club on Gray Street and the leisure pool and gym, which offers a range of specific activities for the elderly.”

For complete transparency we have put together a note of exactly where all of our team have lived or currently live to give an indication of the local knowledge that we can provide for buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords alike:

Gary – Lives in Perth and has also lived in Dunkeld.

Cloe – Lives in Aberuthven and has also lived in Auchterarder.

Director Katie Hall: “All the contractors and tradesmen we use on a day to day basis are based in the local area. We want to make sure that as we grow as a company, we are reinvesting back into the local area, and that we are supporting other local organisations and companies. That is very important to us.”

Gayle Wilson, Marketing Manager: “We firmly believe that our extensive local knowledge is one of the reasons why our clients trust the advice and help we give them. The property sector is not a one-size-fits-all type of business. The market in Perthshire performs very differently from other areas such as Glasgow, Stirling or Edinburgh, which is why our clients can rely on our vast experience to provide accurate and honest advice time and time again.”
