Property Market Update – April 2021
April was a record breaking month for PPP! Not only did we sell the most properties EVER in one month (making us the top selling agent in Perthshire for the year to date*), we also sold our highest value property EVER.
Our team worked flat out to sell 48 properties and list 37 during the 30 days of April. Some properties attracted multiple viewing enquiries and sold in a matter of days, with prices rising for the right property in the right location. Indeed, 11 of our April sales went to closing dates and 83% achieved full asking or above. On average, we negotiated an additional £8,596 over asking price for each client.
We also listed more properties in April than any other agent*, so we have some exciting homes hitting the market in May. Demand from home movers and first-time buyers remains high. This coupled with a prolonged shortage of supply means that it is a great time to come to market and achieve a good price and a quick sale. Purchasers who can act quickly when the right property comes along will be in a good position, so having both a mortgage agreed in principle and your own property already on the market or sold will help to get you to the front of the queue if you’re looking to buy this spring.
